Huipil Blouses

Huipil is a traditional Mexican tunic style blouse originating from the states of Chiapas, Yucatan, Quintana Roo, Oaxaca, Tabasco, Campeche, Hidalgo, Michoacan, Veracruz, and Morelos. Our Huipil’s are made in Yucatan and Chiapas.

This red blouse is from the Chiapas region of Mexico. Scroll down to learn more about Dona Melo and Dona Miguel who make most of our Huipil blouses in the Yucatan region.

Don Miguel and his mother, Dona Melo create our beautiful Itza blouses in their home in Yucatan. Dona Melo cross stitches patented patterns which have been handed down the family for generations.

Once the cross stitch embroidery is completed, Don Miguel cuts the fabric and sews it into a Huilpil blouse on his sewing machine.
